“The President of the Supreme Bar Council has asked the Minister of Justice to protect flood victims from the activities of so-called compensation and debt collection companies or offices which, on the occasion of similar tragedies, use unfair practices that harm the interests of the victims and conduct activities aimed at acquiring clients,” the NRA reported in announcement.
“Due to the scale of the flood and the obvious claims of victims under various legal titles, I am asking the Minister to urgently organise an information campaign to provide the population of the areas affected by the natural disaster with information on access to legal aid provided by lawyers, including through Free Legal Aid points,” added the president of the council, PrzemysÅ‚aw Rosati.

“In the flooded parts of the Lower Silesian, Opole and Silesian provinces, insurance companies have implemented a simplified claims settlement procedure so that injured parties can receive benefits as quickly as possible,” the statement continued. Pro bono support means that “there is no need to use any forms of paid assistance or paid compensation mediation, including the assistance of so-called compensation or debt collection law firms.”
