The mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, said on Thursday evening that the situation on the rivers flowing through the city is stable and that nowhere is the water overflowing the top of the embankments. In the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, flood barriers are being installed on the Odra, including in Piasek (Gryfino district) and Chlewice (Myślibórz district).
Lower Silesia
During the evening meeting of the crisis team with the participation of the Prime Minister Donald Tusk and representatives, services of the president Wroclaw Jacek Sutryk said that none of the rivers have water overflowing the top of the embankments. – Considering the wave that is going through Wrocław, we are actually observing a stable situation on all rivers, lower levels – he said.

On Thursday evening, by decision of the Lubusz Voivode Marek Cebula, a flood alert was introduced in the following counties: Zielona Góra, Gorzow, east-west, Nowosolsky, Krosno and Słubice.
– The alarm is to warn, not to scare – emphasized Sławomir Pawlak, director of the Lubuskie Voivode's office. In connection with the introduced alarm, the services remain on constant alert. – Residents should remain vigilant in connection with the flood situation – Pawlak said.
Earlier, the Lubuskie Voivode decided to apply for the district to be declared a natural disaster. of Żagań.
West Pomeranian Voivodeship
During the meeting of the crisis management team, the West Pomeranian Voivode Adam Rudawski announced the introduction of an absolute ban on moving around the flood embankments.
He also informed about flood barriers in Gryfino at Czechoslovak Street, in Sand (Gryfino district) and about the planned installation of barriers in Chlewice (Myślibórz district). – These are the three most sensitive places, which are the first in the path of the flood wave – emphasized the governor.
