In Kłodzko in Lower Silesia, dozens of houses and apartments have been destroyed by floods. One of them is Mrs. Oliwia's apartment, for which she had to take out a loan. A great wave hit the residents of Kłodzko exactly a week ago. The flood caused a lot of havoc. Many houses and apartments are completely destroyed. One of them is the apartment of Mrs. Oliwia and her family.
– The entire apartment was flooded to the ceiling. Everything was taken out so that drying could begin as soon as possible. There is also a basement below us, which was also flooded. We cleaned it up, but it also needs to dry out – said Ms. Oliwia in an interview with TVN24 reporter Mariusz Sidorkiewicz.
A few hours to move out
The woman and her family had only a few hours to pack and take out the most necessary things. – There were a few hours to save anything. We took the children's mattresses, and the children took backpacks with books. We also took out documents. The TV and household appliances were left in the apartment. We have nothing – the woman added.
The flooded apartment was bought on credit. Fortunately, as Ms. Oliwia emphasized, it was insured. – This is an apartment for which we are paying off a loan. For now, we have an empty building with a loan. We are waiting for an expert – admitted the resident of Kłodzko.
They are waiting for the development of events
Mrs. Oliwia and her family are currently living with her mother-in-law. – We will soon have a temporary apartment on loan – she said.
When asked by a TVN24 reporter when their lives would return to normal, she replied: a year, a year and a half, two? I don't know.
