War in Ukraine. Tough night in Zaporozhye. Over 360 attacks in one day

In the past 24 hours, more than 360 Russian airstrikes have been carried out in the Zaporizhia region in southern Ukraine. Several civilians were injured in airstrikes on the city of Zaporizhia, Ukrainian authorities reported on Monday. Zaporizhia Governor Ivan Fedorov said Russia had carried out at least seven airstrikes on the city and its surroundings, destroying 13 residential buildings, educational institutions, cars, garages and private homes.

According to preliminary information Russia used guided aerial bombs to attack Zaporozhye.

At least 16 people, including a 15-year-old boy, were injured, Ukrainian authorities said. Ministry of the Interior Ukraine reported that rescuers evacuated residents from several damaged residential buildings.

The Ukrainian emergency services posted a video on their Facebook page showing rescuers trying to remove rubble and unblock the entrance to the apartment, as well as providing aid to the injured in front of the damaged apartment building.

Night under fire

Zaporozhye Governor Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram that over the past 24 hours, Russia has carried out a total of 363 air and ground attacks on 12 towns in the Zaporozhye region.

The Ukrainian air force said Russia used two guided missiles and four attack drones in nighttime attacks on Ukraine, three of which were shot down over the northeastern Sumy region, the air force said on Telegram. Two of the missiles and one drone “did not reach their targets due to the active air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” it said.
