Generation Z is taking the job market by storm. Report reveals first effects of employee demands

Generation Z consists of people born after 1995. Many of them are already present in the job market, but a new wave of employees who may change it irrevocably will soon enter it. According to the report OLX Work in 2025, every fifth employee will be a representative of this generation. As it turns out, the first effects can already be observed.

Among other things, Zs focus on the right atmosphere at work and building healthy relationships, which, as it turns out, most of them believe the current job market meets. According to the OLX Praca report, 60% of survey respondents indicated that their supervisor builds partnerships with them and tries to understand their needs. The same percentage indicated that they can share their observations with their supervisor.

Another important issue is comfort, including the work model. According to the report, more than half of respondents admitted that their current company took into account preferences in this matter. In addition, the majority of Generation Z (57%) claim that their remuneration is adequate to their experience.

Employers and Generation Z: We Know What They Think of Younger Employees

Every third company representative agreed in the OLX Praca survey that Generation Z influenced the development of transparent financial advancement prospects and salary scales. On the other hand, one third of companies stated that employees from this generation contributed to changing the way work is organized and how goals are set and communicated by superiors.

– Generation Z is often the generation that watched their parents work 12 hours, argue, and divorce before their eyes. And now, as they enter adulthood, they have the right to want something different for themselves – said Justyna Suchecka, an educational journalist and author of reportage books about Generation Z in an interview with Gazeta.pl.
