Janusz Palikot heard eight charges from the prosecutor – seven related to suspected fraud and one to misappropriation. It was supposed to lead to unfavorable disposal of the property of several thousand people for the amount of nearly PLN 70 million. The allegations, according to the Radio Information Agency, concern the “Skarbiec Palikot” loan campaign. Under it, consumers could make payments money as a loan to Polskie Destylarnie, a company on the management board of which Palikot is a member. On Saturday, October 5, the District Court in Wrocław decided to conditionally arrest Janusz Palikot for two months. As he informed patron Jacek Dubois, Palikot, can be released if he pays bail by October 31. The surety amount is one million zlotys.

Palikot's lawyers are waiting for the decision of the second instance court. According to them, it should subside within two or three weeks. Earlier, Jacek Dubois revealed that while Janusz Palikot was writing to him on the phone, CBA officers prepared a report on the conversation and forwarded it to the prosecutor. Palikot's defense attorney mentioned that the protocol was used by the prosecutor in court. – I have not seen a bigger scandal – said Dubois. He said that the media must know about such “drastic violations of human rights.”
