One person was killed and 10 injured in a terrorist attack in the southern city of Beersheva, Israeli police said. It happened at the local bus station. It was added that the attacker who shot at people was eliminated.
Medical services reported that a total of a dozen people were helped after the attack that took place at the central bus station in Beersheba. A 25-year-old woman could not be saved and she died as a result of her injuries, the Times of Israel reported. The injured taken to Soroka Hospital include a woman in her 20s and four men in their 20s with gunshot wounds. Another five people are in fair condition after being hit by glass shards or other objects. Three more people are under medical care for acute stress.
Israeli security forces are on high alert over possible pro-Palestinian street attacks on the eve of the first anniversary of Hamas' attack on southern Israel October 7 last year, which began a new stage of the war in the Gaza Strip.
