Reflex analysts reported that, in line with their expectations, prices at gas stations have gone up. According to data from October 10, value gasoline in Poland it increased on average by 4-5 gr/l, for diesel by 9 gr/l and for autogas by 6 gr/l. Prices ranging from PLN 5.50 to PLN 5.60 per liter of Pb95 or diesel are now a thing of the past.
Increases in fuel prices of just a few cents. Analysts will monitor the situation
Current averages fuel prices at gas stations are respectively for:
- unleaded petrol 95 – PLN 5.96/l;
- lead-free 98 – PLN 6.72/l;
- diesel fuel – PLN 6.03/l;
- autogas – PLN 2.91/l.
Reflex experts emphasized that just as “the average price of diesel in the country has again increased to above PLN 6/l, in the case of unleaded 95 petrol, an increase to around PLN 6/l may occur next week.” We're talking about the third week of October.
Interestingly, the latest analysis also showed that fuel prices at some stations have not changed yet. “Where we have noticed changes, the prices of petrol usually increased by 5 to 10 groszy per liter, and diesel prices by 10 to 15 groszy per liter,” analysts said.
The increase in oil prices is related to Iran's missile attack on Israel
According to data from October 11, Brent crude oil is worth approximately USD 78.50 per barrel, remaining approximately USD 2.50/bbl below local maximums – i.e. USD 81/bbl. It should be emphasized that in connection with the last one attack Iran on Israel Oil prices have already increased by almost USD 9/bbl, and further increases in prices depend on this conflict.
The American EIA revised this by 40,000. barrels per day down the growth forecast for global fuel consumption this year. It is forecast that global demand for fuels will increase by 0.9 million bbl/d in 2024 – reaching 103.06 million bbl/d, and in 2025 it will increase by another 1.3 million bbl.
