Damn it, what are you, an idiot? – these were the words of PiS MP Marek Suski on Thursday to the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Media, Piotr Adamowicz (Civic Coalition). The stormy discussions concerned the motion to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council, which was passed by the Sejm on Friday.
On Friday, the Sejm decided to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council (RMN). 440 MPs took part in the vote. The vote was 257 in favor of Czabański's dismissal from RMN, 183 against, and no one abstained.
Krzysztof Czabański has headed the National Media Council since 2016.

Emotions at the parliamentary committee. “What the hell, are you an idiot?”
MPs from the Civic Coalition submitted a motion to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council on Monday. On Thursday, the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Media supported this motion. The justification for the motion shows that Czabański was to violate the ban on combining the function of the head of RMN with participation “in an entity that is a media service provider or a radio or television producer.”
Thursday's committee deliberations were accompanied by great emotions. At one point, a member of the committee Marek Suski (PiS) turned to chairman Piotr Adamowicz (KO). – I state that the commission was conducted contrary to the regulations. You're breaking the rules, you're just a political apparatchik, he said.
At the end of the meeting, the committee elected the rapporteur. – I am nominating the candidacy of Mr. Maciej Wróbel. Does MP Wróbel agree? – Adamowicz asked.
– Yes, I consent – replied Wróbel (KO).
– Thank you, are there any other candidates? There aren't. Mr. Wróbel becomes the rapporteur of the Committee on Culture and Media – said the chairman of the meeting.
– No, no. I object, Suski interjected.

– You did not raise any objections, I am closing the meeting… – replied Adamowicz.
– I'm just expressing my objection, what the hell, are you an idiot? – said the PiS politician.
Adamowicz remained unmoved by Suski's comment. – I am closing the meeting of the Culture and Media Committee. Thank you, he said in a calm voice.
To be preserved PiS MPs Rapporteur Maciej Wróbel (KO) spoke from the Sejm podium on Friday, saying that it was alleged PO MPsthat “they want to attack the public media.” – MP Joanna Lichocka she even threatened that those responsible for this state of affairs – here's a quote – “will go to jail.” MP Marek Suski – I will not talk about the details and epithets that the MP directed at the committee and the chairman of the committee – questioned the credibility of the law firm that prepared the said analysis – he said.
