Police officers and students of the primary school in Małochwiej Duży (Lublin Voivodeship) took part in a joint action. The youngest, under the supervision of uniformed officers, checked the drivers' sobriety and – as a reward for exemplary driving – handed out key rings. The 53-year-old Opel driver did not receive the award. It turned out that he got behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol. He will be charged with a misdemeanor.
At the invitation of the primary school in Małochwiej Duży, police officers took part in joint activities “Slow down the driver”.
– Joint inspections provided children with a lot of excitement. The youngest had the opportunity to independently test the sobriety of drivers under the supervision of police officers. Children gave key chains as rewards to exemplary drivers, said Staff Sergeant Anna Chuszcza from the District Police Headquarters in Krasnystaw.

He adds that unfortunately not all drivers could be proud of themselves.
“A 53-year-old Opel driver was detained for inspection, among others. The indicator light of the Alco-blow device held in the hand of one of the students turned on red,” the policewoman notes.

They suspended his driving license
It turned out that a resident of the Kraśniczyn commune was under the influence of alcohol. Another breathalyzer test showed that the man was driving with almost 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. The police detained the driver's driving license. The court will decide on his further fate.
The state after drinking alcohol occurs when the alcohol content in the body is between 0.2 and 0.5 per mille. Anyone who gets behind the wheel in such a condition commits an offense punishable by arrest or a fine of not less than PLN 2,500. zloty.
