It was around 2 a.m. when the fire alarm system went off in one of the hotels in Poznań. About 150 people were evacuated from the building. The probable cause of the alarm was an electrical short circuit.
The services received a report from the hotel at ul. Saint Wawrzyńca in Poznań around 2 a.m.
– It was an alarm from fire monitoring, i.e. the fire alarm system was activated, but the probable cause of its activation was a short circuit in the electrical installation – says the officer on duty of the Greater Poland fire brigade.
Nothing happened to anyone
He adds that about 150 people were evacuated from the building. Nothing happened to anyone.
– After checking the building, the evacuated people were able to return to the facility – notes the officer on duty.
Four fire brigades worked on site.
