NASK submits a notification to the prosecutor's office. Janusz Cieszyński comments

IN result activities “potential abuses were detected, probably caused by former employees of the management staff of NASK SA”. The company also reported that the collected material was the basis for the submission on Wednesday, 23 October notification to the National Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw on suspicion of committing a crime. It was supposed to include, among others: “on taking actions leading to unfavorable disposal of property by NASK SA to former minister Janusz Cieszyński and on actions or omissions contrary to the obligations of individual persons, which may result in causing significant property damage to NASK SA in the amount of up to PLN 750,601.54.”

Janusz Cieszyński, Minister of Digitization from April 6 to November 27, 2023 government Mateusz Morawiecki, commented in an interview with PAP that he “knows nothing” about the notification to the prosecutor's office. Envoy PIS he estimated that this may be related to his sending a question to NASK two weeks ago as part of a parliamentary inspection regarding the activities of NASK director Radosław Nielek.

Dariusz Joński: PiS used NASK in the election campaign

On Thursday, October 24, Dariusz Joński, MEP of the Civic Coalition, informed about the notification to the prosecutor's office in connection with “irregularities”. “PiS used NASK in the election campaign instead of fighting disinformation for our security,” we read.

“In addition – fictitious positions, record employment costs and an organized criminal group, NASK was subordinated to Minister Cieszyński, and in the notification submitted to the prosecutor's office we read: '(…) Melania Walaszczyk (…) was the only one who regularly made unauthorized and unjustified transactions using funds NASK and was openly involved (as well as NASK's IT and personnel resources, and NASK PIB) in the political activities of Janusz Cieszyński (…), did not report to the workplace, remained on trips related to the election campaign that were not justified by the interests of work, and spent money NASK outside the procedures.
