IMWM issued a forecast of meteorological warnings. The next few days will bring the return of windy weather. However, hydrological warnings are in force in parts of the country.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued a forecast of meteorological warnings for the following days.
IMWM threat forecast for Sunday
At least on Saturday IMWM does not plan to issue warnings, on Sunday first degree alerts for strong winds may apply in the following voivodeships: Pomeranian (Słupsk poviat, SłupskLębork, Wejherowo, Puck, Gdynia, Sopot, GdańskGdańsk, Nowy Dwórski) i Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Elbląg poviat, ElblągBraniewski).
Hydrological warnings
Hydrological warnings have been issued due to strong winds. Level 2 alerts remain in effect along East Coast and in the internal waters of the Republic of Poland at the height of the province. Pomeranian – there, increases and fluctuations in water levels are expected up to the high water zone, locally above the warning levels. The warnings will expire on Saturday at 17.
Yellow warnings have also been issued for the lane West Coast and in the internal waters of the province. West Pomeranian Voivodeship, na the Vistula Lagoon and catchment area of ​​the Vistula Lagoon to the Nogat. There, water levels are expected to increase to the high water zone, and the warning level may be exceeded locally. All alerts will expire by Saturday at 15.
What is a first-degree IMWM warning?
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
