Americans elect a president. The commission of inquiry into surveillance of the Pegasus system submitted a request to bring Zbigniew Ziobro to justice. Paweł S., in turn, will find out on Tuesday whether his arrest will be maintained. Here are five things to know on Tuesday, November 5.
1. The US elects a president
There will be presidential, congressional and local government elections in the United States. About 244 million Americans are eligible to vote, and more than 76 million of them have voted so far through early and mail-in voting. According to tradition, polling stations in three towns in New Hampshire will be the first to open just after midnight local time (after 6 a.m. in Poland). Voting will then begin on the East Coast, where polls will open at 6 (12 p.m. in Poland). The polls on the West Coast will be the last to close at 20 (5 a.m. on Wednesday in Poland), an hour later in Alaska, and another hour later in Hawaii.

2. Application to bring Ziobro
Zbigniew Ziobro he did not appear before the parliamentary commission of inquiry into surveillance of the Pegasus system. This is the fourth time the committee has tried to question the former Minister of Justice.
The committee passed three motions: to the court to impose a penalty for failure to appear and to detain and bring Ziobro before the commission, and to the prosecutor general to initiate the procedure to revoke Ziobro's immunity.
3. The court will decide on the arrest of Paweł S.
The creator of the Red is Bad brand, Paweł S., once again submitted explanations to the prosecutor's office in Katowice on Monday. After completing the activities, the spokesman of the National Prosecutor's Office, Przemysław Nowak, announced that a request had been submitted to the court to maintain the suspect's pre-trial detention.
On the same day, the court accepted the request, but postponed the announcement of the decision until Tuesday. The prosecutor's office said that this was related to the large number of threads and materials that the judges had to analyze.

4. The investigative team will investigate the case of envelope elections
An investigative team has been established to conduct the case of the would-be presidential correspondence elections, planned for May 10, 2020, Mateusz Martyniuk, spokesman for the Warsaw regional prosecutor's office, said on Monday.
The prosecutor's office informed that the formation of the team was necessary “due to the need to analyze, among other things, the materials provided by the investigative commission.”
5. Rice for soldiers and equipment
Supplies of 600-700 thousand tons of rice per year, payments of about $200 million, as well as access to space technologies – this, according to South Korean media, will offer Russia North Korea in exchange for soldiers and military equipment to fight against Ukraine.
