A three-year-old child who was admitted to a hospital in Nowy Tomyśl on Wednesday with symptoms of poisoning has died. The circumstances and causes of death are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. The child's mother is also in the hospital.
Around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the police received a report from the doctor on duty at the Hospital Emergency Department in Nowy Tomyśl about the death of a three-year-old child who was admitted to the ward with symptoms of poisoning, said Junior Asp. Maja Pietruńko from the KPP in Nowy Tomyśl.
She added that the child's mother is also in the hospital in Nowy Tomyśl.
The police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the child's death
The police are not providing further information about the incident at this time. Pietruńko only said that “under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, the causes and circumstances of the child's death are being determined.”
According to RMF24, which was the first to report the incident, the family came to the hospital in Nowy Tomyśl from the Grodzisk district.
