Warsaw. Staff shortages in the police and the question of securing the march

– We will be watching everything that is happening in Warsaw. The police care about safety. We will be very careful to ensure that this day takes place in a solemn, solemn atmosphere – assured the mayor of the capital, Rafał Trzaskowski, referring to the celebration of the National Independence Day.

President Rafał Trzaskowski, at Saturday's conference on the occasion of the National Independence Day, emphasized that it is a common, joyful holiday. – I would like to cordially invite everyone to celebrate this day – he said.

He noted that at At 12 there will be central ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and at On November 11, the Independence Run will start from the Rondo Zgrupowania Home Army “Radosław”.

The mayor of the capital also invited everyone to celebrate together at 18 to the Warsaw Citadel, where there will be a concert on the occasion of Independence Day, organized together with the Polish History Museum in Warsaw and the Museum of the Second World War. – The place was not chosen randomly. (…) Artists from all 16 regions of Poland will present their culture. This is very important because we want to show that it is a day of unity, but we also show the diversity of our culture – emphasized Trzaskowski.

“It's important that it's festive”

He reminded that there will be special buses that will take passengers to the Citadel.

He emphasized that other celebrations, including a march, will also take place on November 11. – We will be watching everything that is happening in Warsaw. The police care about safety. We will be very careful to ensure that this day takes place in a solemn, solemn atmosphere, so that no one disturbs order, no one breaks Polish law – said Trzaskowski.

He added that all places along the march route were secured. He also appealed for caution and to use public transport, because many streets will be closed to traffic.

When asked whether, in the context of staff shortages in the police, the march would be adequately secured, he assured that it would be so. – I have talked to Minister Siemoniak many times about how we can help as a city. I also talked to the commander of the capital, we are in constant contact. We have certain solutions that we will implement, he said.

He also referred to the ban on the use of pyrotechnic products issued by the Masovian Voivode. – We care about safety, the voivode cares about safety. We all want it to be festive, positive, but above all, safe, said Trzaskowski.
