Tragic accident on Trasa Łazienkowska. A 46-year-old taxi driver died. Emergency services are on site and the route is blocked.
The incident took place just before 7:00 a.m. at Aleja Armii Ludowej, near the Jazda Polska roundabout. – For undetermined reasons, the 46-year-old driver of the Toyota lost control of the car and hit the viaduct pillar – Jacek Wiśniewski from the press department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us.
He added that despite resuscitation, the man could not be saved. – He died on the spot – described the policeman.
As Łukasz Zagdański from the capital's fire brigade told us, three units were called to the accident.
The route is blocked. The details of the accident are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor.
