The incident occurred on Tuesday (November 12) around 6:30. A man came to the District Police Headquarters in Gostyń to check his sobriety. The officer on duty conducted a breathalyzer test, which showed that the man had 0.86 per mille of alcohol in his body.
“There would be nothing surprising in this, if not for the fact that the man left the police station immediately after the examination, got into his Nissan and drove away. The officer on duty immediately notified the road traffic department patrol. The officers stopped the Nissan driver at the police station,” the police report. Gostyń.
A 52-year-old drunk man lost his driving license. For driving under the influence of alcohol, he now faces a penalty of up to three years in prison and a driving ban.
“You've been drinking – don't drive! It doesn't matter if you're going on a long journey, to a nearby store or, in this case, you want to test your sobriety.” – appeals the police.
