The e-Delivery system is to be launched on January 1, 2025. The e-Delivery system is coming. “Correspondence will be faster and more efficient”

e-Delivery allows for safe and quick communication between citizens and entrepreneurs and public institutions via an electronic delivery address. The ministry explains that thanks to the new system, you can save time and costs associated with traditional document sending. All official letters and decisions can be received and sent electronically – without the need to visit post officewithout having to collect the notice that was delivered to the mailbox while you were away from home.

“From the beginning of next year, official correspondence of citizens and entrepreneurs with public administration will be faster, more efficient and available via computer or phone at any place and at any time,” assures the Ministry of Digitization. In the first stage, this option will be made available to most offices, companies and professions of public trust. Ultimately, all public entities and a large group of non-public entities will have an address for electronic delivery and the obligation to conduct correspondence in this way.

e-Delivery system – how to send and receive correspondence?

To use the new system, all you need to do is create an address and an e-Delivery box. This can be done in a few simple steps by submitting an application via the website mObywatel.gov.pl. Detailed instructions on how to set up an address and e-Delivery box, can be found HERE.

The Ministry lists the advantages of the new system. It is supposed to be the biggest one you will save time because you will not have to collect a notice and stand in a queue at the post office. From January 1, 2025, letters from the office will be delivered directly to your electronic mailbox. You will also not have to come to the office to submit documents, because letters and applications can be sent free of charge from the e-Delivery box.

“The introduction of the e-Delivery system in Poland is an important step in the digitization of public administration. In this way, we are moving to modern communication, thanks to which citizens, companies and public institutions will save time and money. Dealing with official matters online is becoming an everyday occurrence, which is why e-Delivery, as the electronic equivalent of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, is another element of the digital puzzle. This solution will also improve the work of public administration and contribute to faster exchange informationand as a result, it will shorten the time for dealing with official matters,” emphasized Dariusz Standerski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digitization, quoted in the release.
