In one of the parking lots on provincial road 702 in Zgierz (Łódź Voivodeship), someone threw seven puppies in a cardboard box. City guards are looking for the person who left the pets, but also for witnesses of the incident. Abandoning animals can result in up to three years in prison.

The incident took place on November 9 in one of the forest parking lots at Piątkowska Street (DW 702) in Zgierz. A woman who stopped to rest noticed a cardboard box with squeaking noises coming from it.

According to the commander of the Zgierz City Guard, the woman heard squeaking coming from a standing cardboard box. She opened it and saw seven little puppies. – We are looking for the person who threw the animals away, but we are also looking for witnesses to the incident. Ultimately, the dogs were taken to an animal shelter near Zgierz, where they undergo a 15-day quarantine and after this period – around November 24 – they will be ready for adoption – says Dariusz Bereżewski.
