On Saturday at 11 a.m. the National Council of the Civic Platform met in Warsaw. During the course, it was announced that he was the candidate of the Civic Coalition in next year's presidential elections Rafał Trzaskowski. 22,126 votes were cast and Trzaskowski won with 74.75 percent of them.

That's why I'm so happy, so thrilled that regardless of the result I'm about to announce, I know for sure that we had two great candidates. The whole of Poland appreciated it, he said Donald Tusk just before the results were announced.
He added that both candidates deserved words of appreciation. – You really deserve the highest words of appreciation. You both rose to this challenge, it wasn't easy. Listen, we are responsible people. Today we are responsible for the fate of our homeland, he argued.
