They admitted that they wanted to get to Germany or Great Britain. Their journey was interrupted in Poland. Two Iranian citizens and a Turk were detained at Chopin Airport. According to the border guard, they used forged documents to obtain their IDs.

A plane from Athens arrived at Chopin Airport. After landing, passengers went to inspection. During it, the services caught three people using suspicious documents.

“One of the Iranians presented the officers with a forged Georgian passport, the other presented a French passport belonging to another person – blocked in the system as lost,” described Major General Dagmara Bielec, press secretary of the Commander of the Nadwiślański Border Guard Unit.

During the checks, it was found that the details of one of the foreigners were listed in the system as a missing minor. “In turn, a Turkish citizen crossed the border of the Republic of Poland contrary to the law, using a forged Romanian ID card similar to the original one,” Bielec added.

Their destination was Germany or Great Britain

According to the border guard, the foreigners, in the presence of translators, told the officers that they were traveling from Turkey through Greece to get to Germany and Great Britain, and that they had purchased the documents they held in Greece.

The officers verified the real identities of the detained people. Administrative proceedings were initiated against them and criminal charges were also brought against them for forging a document and using a false document.

Applications were filed against the detainees to place them in a guarded center for foreigners.
