IMWM warns against dense fog that may limit visibility. Strong wind alerts are also in force. Check where the weather will be dangerous.

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings on a three-level, increasing scale. There is also a threat forecast for the following days.

IMWM warnings – strong wind

First-degree strong wind alerts apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Podkarpackiein the following counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, KrosnoJasielski, where warnings will be valid from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday;
  • Silesianin the counties: Żywiec, Bielsko-BiałaBielsko, Cieszyn, Pszczyna, where alarms will be valid from 2-11 on Thursday;
  • Opole provincein the following poviats: Głubczyce, Prudnik, Nysa, where the alarms will be valid from midnight on Thursday and will expire at midnight on Friday;
  • Lower Silesiain southern counties, where warnings will be valid from midnight on Thursday and will expire at midnight on Friday.

Strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 km/h, gusting up to 85 km/h, from the southwest, turning to the west, are forecast.

IMWM warnings – dense fog

Dense fog alerts have been issued in the province Lesser Polandin the following counties: Nowy Tarnów, Tarnów, Dąbrowa, Brzesko, Kazimierz, Wieliczka, Kraków, Cracow.

In the valley Vistula Dense fog is observed and predicted, with visibility likely to be less than 200 meters in places. The warnings will expire at 2 on Thursday.

Snowfall is expected on Friday. Alerts may be issued in poviats of southern voivodeships Silesian and Lesser Poland.

On this day, thick fog warnings may also be issued in the following voivodeships: Lubuskie, Greater Poland, Lower Silesia and Opole province.
