Nawrocki like Duda in 2015? “They are both created from start to finish by spin doctors”

– Already in his first speech, Karol Nawrocki's courtship towards Confederation voters was visible. His speech was constantly about freedom and even the abolition of taxes – so Dr. Hab. Renata MieÅ„kowska-Norkiene, a political scientist from the University of Warsaw, assesses the “civic” PiS candidate for the president of the Republic of Poland.
– I must explain our motives, the motives of the Law and Justice party, which decided to nominate a non-partisan candidate, an independent candidate, a candidate whom many of our outstanding activists, including those at the very top, did not know closely. Our decision was based on the doctor's personal advantages Karol Nawrockihis life path and also the fact that today we have a special state – an internal war, a Polish-Polish war. We do not want this war, KaczyÅ„ski said during the convention in Krakow.
– We need a credible person, independent of the political formation, who will have the will and the ability to end this war – argued the PiS president.
Can Nawrocki's declared “citizenship” and lack of party ID help him in the race for the presidency?
“A large part of voters hate political parties”
– A “civic” candidate can work. While the PiS core electorate will vote for anyone associated with PiS, there is a large part of the electorate that simply hates political parties. Therefore, any candidate without a party card will be a slightly better candidate. It is a great task of the election staff to emphasize that Nawrocki has never been in PiS, he only wants to defend Polishness and fight for Poland – says Dr. Hab. Renata MieÅ„kowska-Norkiene, assistant professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw.
