After the fire, the fire was in agony. Before he died, they treated him with tea, herbs and homeopathy

They euthanized Omar almost three months after the fire and under a different name. The horse with little chance of survival and painful wounds on two thirds of its body was taken to the other end of the country by the Centaurus Foundation. Fundraisers were organized, and Omar – whose name was changed to Onik – was a lively promotion of alternative medicine. Even after the horse's death, the foundation still accepts “donations for Ognik”. The case is being handled by the prosecutor's office, which has announced “decisive steps.”
- Severely burned Omar was treated with “old herbal methods” immediately after the fire in Podlasie.
- When he came to Lower Silesia, to the Centaurus Foundation center, he was kept alive, “treated” with homeopathy, teas and a “miracle cosmetic”. Eventually he was allowed to leave.
- – There is no doubt that this horse was treated persistently and forcefully. And the horse had to suffer all this time – says Lech Pankiewicz, MaÅ‚opolska Provincial Veterinary Officer, who has been dealing with horses for years, about this case.
- Although Omar – whose name was changed to Onik – has been dead for almost half a year, you can still make a donation to him. Similarly to other animals that were Centaurus's wards and then either died or were put up for adoption.
- We asked the foundation whether such collections were ethical in its opinion. “Each payment is voluntary, so it is probably well thought out by the donors. I don't think it's misleading,” is the answer.
A fire broke out on a farm in the Zambrowski district in Podlasie on Sunday, April 14. Five fire brigades extinguished a small farm building. Two cows could not be saved, the remaining animals were treated by a veterinarian.
Omar miraculously escaped with his life. However, it was difficult to recognize what color he was – he was so burned.
The family did not want to hear about the putting down of their beloved horse, which was taken care of by the owners' 16-year-old son on a daily basis.
And the local veterinarian seemed to be optimistic. – He declared that the horse was in a condition that qualified it for treatment, not euthanasia. He stated that he would treat the animal – Olga Lewczuk, district veterinary inspector in Zambrów, told tvn24.pl.
On July 2, after 10 weeks of pain, Omar was euthanized. According to our interlocutors, recognized authorities in the field of veterinary medicine, his suffering should be much shorter. But more on that later.
Old herbal methods
We reach a veterinarian who seemed to be in good spirits and – as other veterinarians would later tell us – was one of those who prolonged the animal's ordeal.
– How did you treat Omar? – we ask the vet.
– This treatment was carried out using more natural methods – we hear in response.
