Stanisław Tym is dead – informs the weekly “Polityka”. The actor and satirist, the unforgettable Ryszard Ochódzki from “Miś” and kaowiec from “Rejs” was 87 years old.
The death of Stanisław Tym was announced by “Polityka”, where the deceased was a columnist. “It is with great regret that we inform you about the death of Stanisław Tym, a great figure of Polish culture and media. For decades, he furnished our collective imagination and shaped our sense of humor,” we read on the weekly's website.
Stanisław Tym is a unique figure in Polish culture. He was an actor, satirist, cabaret artist, screenwriter, director, columnist and writer. He gained extraordinary popularity thanks to his wonderful comedy roles in “Rejs” by Marek Piwowski, where he played a stowaway mistaken for a kayaker, and in “Miś” by Stanisław Bareja and its sequels, where he played president Ryszard Ochódzki and coalman – Stanisław Paluch.
