PKO BP issued a warning against fraudsters impersonating a bank. It shows what fake e-mails sent to customers look like.
“Be careful of fake e-mails impersonating a bank,” we read in a statement from PKO BP.
The subject of the message is “Mobile Confirmation Activation – Act now to continue using our services”. The address in the message field is: IPKO
“The bank is not the author of these messages“- emphasizes PKO BP.

“Do not open attachments and do not click on links in this type of e-mails. If you click on the link, you may lose your money and control of your account,” appeals the PKO BP bank.
Safety rules
In the message, the bank reminds about the basic security rules when contacting the bank, which are worth remembering:
– PKO BP e-mails and text messages do not contain links, – before logging in to the iPKO website, always check the website address carefully, – links to fake websites are also included in search engine ads and look like regular search results.

PKO BP is the largest bank in Poland. It has approximately 12 million customers and the value of assets exceeds PLN 500 billion.
The next places in the ranking of the largest banks in terms of assets are taken by Pekao, Santander, ING Bank Śląski and mBank.
