The brutal attack in the elevator was recorded on camera
According to the police, the 35-year-old detained in the center was also related to a brutal robbery in one of the blocks of flats on Jana Pawła II Avenue. The incident took place at the end of November and was recorded by surveillance cameras.
– The aggressor entered the elevator and deliberately pressed the button for the top floor to have plenty of time to act. When the elevator doors closed, he started beating the 23-year-old. At some point, the door opened and the injured person fell out of the door and fell to the floor. At this point, the perpetrator dragged the 23-year-old back inside and continued beating him, and at the end he stole his purse with money, documents and a mobile phone – describes the junior asp. Pacyniak.
The man injured in the attack suffered serious head injuries, including a fractured eye socket. Criminal findings show that he was an accidental victim, and the perpetrator followed him immediately before the robbery, chose a convenient place and attacked him.
Due to their suspicions, investigators searched the 35-year-old's apartment in Ursus. A jacket hanging in one of the closets caught their attention. – As it turned out, the attacker from the elevator was wearing the same one – notes the junior asp. Pacyniak. The evidence collected in this case was transferred to the Warsaw Śródmieście-Północ District Prosecutor's Office, which will make further decisions regarding the proceedings.
