One of the people on board the Azeri Airlines plane recorded the last moments before the plane crashed on Wednesday in Kazakhstan. The recording shows, among others, passengers wearing oxygen masks. Dozens of people died in the disaster, and others were taken to hospital with injuries.
Azerbaijan Airlines' Embraer 190 plane, which was en route to Chechnya, crashed on Wednesday morning near the city of Aktau on the Caspian Sea. 38 people out of 67 on board died. The rest were injured, some of them in a serious condition.
Reuters verified and shared the video recording the moments before the tragedy. It shows passengers putting on emergency oxygen masks. The video also shows damage to part of the plane's wing.

There are speculations as to the cause
The authorities believe that the most likely cause of the crash was the loss of control of the machine as a result of a collision with a flock of birds, which the pilots reported to the air traffic controller in Aktau. – We have to read the black box, interview eyewitnesses and the air services. Now all forces and resources are involved and only then will we have the initial causes of the disaster, said the country's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev on Wednesday.
