The car driver did not stop for a road check in Łódź on Sunday. While fleeing through the city streets, he damaged the vehicle, drove into a guarded housing estate, abandoned the car and fled on foot.
The incident took place on Sunday in Bałuty, Łódź. The driver of a Renault Clio stopped for a routine inspection on ul. He slowed down at Źródłowa Street, feigning a stop, then suddenly accelerated and started running away. The policemen gave chase, supported by more police cars.
He fled towards the Stoki estate on the outskirts of the city. However, on ul. Telefoniczna, no further than two kilometers from the inspection site, he drove into a gated housing estate and abandoned the car there.

– He left the car and fled on foot. We secured the vehicle for testing. We are conducting activities to identify and arrest the car driver, said Adam Dembiński from the Police Headquarters in Łódź.
The manhunt in the area of the incident site was unsuccessful.
