After a great match in Krakow between Puszcza Niepołomice and Górnik Zabrze (2:2), the second match on Friday was a clash of two newcomers in Gdansk. Lechia, which drew away with Silesia Wroclaw 1:1, was looking for its first win in the clash with Motor Lublin, which in turn had to admit the superiority of Raków Częstochowa (0:2).

The excitement of this match took a long, long time to come, and for many minutes the match in Gdańsk resembled a first-league threshing rather than a clash from the highest league. In the 18th minute, Motor's goalkeeper Ivan Brkić made a fatal mistake with his feet, but Tomasz Neugebauer's shot was blocked. In response, Bartosz Wolski's long-range shot was well blocked by Bohdan Sarnawskij.
In the 45th minute Motor had a good chance to score a goal, but Samuel Mraz missed a shot from a few meters and the ball went to Bohdan Sarnawski. Right after the break, Tomasz Neugebauer was close to luck, who, after a move on the right side by Tomas Bobcek, who was returning from an injury, struck a flat shot just wide of the Lublin goal.
In the 71st minute we finally got our first goal of the match. After a long play by Motor and a cross by Bartosz Wolski from the right side of the penalty area, Samuel Mraz headed the ball into the net from close range, giving the visitors the lead.
Football players Mateusz Stolarski followed up and three minutes later they were celebrating their second goal. This time Michał Król raced down the right wing and crossed the ball flat into the penalty area, where Piotr Ceglarz got ahead of Lechia's defenders and increased the score from five meters to 2:0 for Motor.
In the end, Lublin were closer to scoring a third goal than Lechia was to scoring a direct goal. Piotr Ceglarz's shot from a sharp angle was saved by Bohdan Sarnawskij, and Rafał Król's attempt from a dozen or so meters was blocked.
Motor Lublin finally defeated Lechia Gdańsk 2-0 away, thus achieving their first victory after returning to the Ekstraklasa after 32 years. Lechia, on the other hand, have something to think about, because it turns out that Szymon Grabowski's team may not have enough quality for the highest league.
