During the parliamentary committee on culture and media, a brawl broke out between MPs. The MPs decided to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council (RMN). 1. Emotions at the parliamentary committee

– What the hell, are you an idiot? – these were the words of Law and Justice MP Marek Suski to the chairman of the parliamentary committee on culture and media, Piotr Adamowicz (Civic Coalition).

The stormy discussions concerned the motion to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council, which was passed by the Sejm on Friday.

2. The Sejm dismissed Czabański from the National Media Council

The MPs decided to dismiss Krzysztof Czabański from the National Media Council (RMN). 440 MPs voted. The vote was 257 in favor of Czabański's dismissal from RMN, 183 against, and no one abstained.

The argument of the Civic Coalition, which requested the dismissal, was that Czabański had violated the ban on combining his functions at RMN with participation in an entity providing media services.

It is a grassroots movement of survivors of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He received the peace prize for his efforts towards a world free of nuclear weapons and for demonstrating – through witness testimony – that nuclear weapons should never be used again.

5. New support poll

In the latest survey The Civic Coalition can count on the support of 35.3 percent, however PIS 33.5 percent – according to the latest research by Opinia24 for “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

She took third place Confederation with support of 12.5 percent of respondents. The daily notes that according to the survey results, the currently ruling coalition would have a total of 218 seats in the Sejm, and PiS and Konfederacja would have a total of 242 – i.e. a majority.

6. Announcement of changes in road traffic law

People driving despite having their driving license suspended will lose their driving license permanently, announced the Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak.

It is planned to tighten penalties for exceeding the speed limit by 50 kilometers per hour outside built-up areas and driving under the influence of alcohol.
