This is indeed a disarmament of PiS propaganda and a scandal for which our predecessors should also be held accountable – said Deputy Minister of State Assets Marcin Kulasek in “Fakty po Faktach”, referring to Piotr Świerczek's reportage about the activities of the Ministry of Defense during the rule of Law and Justice. The deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense, Paweł Zalewski, said that “the arms industry was not supported in any way.” – Moreover, private companies that wanted to develop faced significant blockades from the state – he added.
In his reportage “Disarmament of Propaganda”, journalist Piotr Świerczek described how politicians prepared Poland for the threat and contrasted it with the words of politicians from the previous government, who boasted and argued that they were investing a lot of money in armaments.
And it was true – the value of all contracts announced by Mariusz Błaszczakafter that in 2022 Russia attacked Ukraineis over PLN 280 billion. But it helped Polish arms plants only to a small extent. The most important programs for the production of gunpowder and ammunition from the point of view of state security have not even moved for years, and we have no way or place to service the equipment ordered abroad.

Deputy Minister of State Assets Marcin Kulasek (Left) and Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Zalewski (Poland 2050) commented on the content of the report in Tuesday's “Fakty po Faktach”. – This is truly a disarmament of PiS propaganda. This material shows, among other things, the state of the Polish arms industry after the government PiS. The mechanisms that were used are shown, Kulasek said.
As he added, “when the full-scale war in Ukraine broke out, Minister Błaszczak was in the spotlight buying everything from foreign contractors that was on the shelf, regardless of whether it was of value to the Polish army or not.” – Even without negotiating the price – he said.
– This is such a scandal. And our predecessors should also answer for this, he added. – All this shows that certain negligence that has been going on for eight years was tried to play off the fact that “although we did nothing, but we will now arm the Polish army,” Kulasek said.

Zalewski: Private companies that wanted to develop had significant blockades from the state
Zalewski noted that “our goal is to significantly increase arms purchases in the country.” – During PiS it was 30 percent. We want it to be 50 percent within a few years. There are such chances, he noted.
– The problem with PiS was that they did nothing after 2015 to prepare for a full-scale war that finally broke out in 2022. This arms industry was not supported in any way, and what's more, private companies that wanted to develop were significantly blocked by the state, he emphasized.
– However, when the war broke out and it was actually necessary to purchase weapons abroad in a rational way, nothing was done, for example, to sign so-called technology transfer agreements so that Polish companies could at least service these weapons. that we buy – said the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.
As he continued, “when it comes to the costs of using military equipment, 30 percent is the purchase price of a given unit, for example a tank or a gun howitzer, and 70 percent is the price of service.” – And nothing was done, having a huge advantage in negotiations, to conclude, for example, service agreements for the Polish industry – he added.
