Allegations for Błażej Spychalski. Andrzej Duda comments

Błażej Spychalski heard the allegations on Thursday in connection with the investigation of irregularities in Collegium Humanum. Former spokesman of the president Andrzej Duda He was detained in the morning by the agents of the Central Anti -Corruption Bureau and transported to the Department of the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice. Spychalski was questioned and confronted with the former rector of the Warsaw University.

President Andrzej Duda referred to the matter on Friday. – I must admit that it was a surprise to us that this was the case. I understand that the prosecutor's office conducts his activities and interrogated, the minister explained. Currently, he has the status of my social advisor – this is a function that is a free function and this way is only associated with the Chancellery of the President – he explained.

– I am waiting for how the prosecutor's office will clarify this case and what the further decisions of the prosecutor's office will be. Yesterday I decided to turn to the head of the office, Minister Małgorzata Paprocka and my colleagues from the management, so as not to engage Mr. Błażej Spychalski in any actions that would lead to the representation of the President of the Republic of Poland in any way, whether at some ceremonies or in some Events, until this matter is more brightened – said Duda.

Duda noted that the prosecutor's office's activities are ongoing and Spychalski “is entitled to a full presumption of innocence.” – Stating today that it is guilty would be absolutely contrary to applicable standards – he noted.

– We look at it very carefully and be careful in this matter. We also look at what actions will apply to these suspicions or allegations formulated against Mr. Błażej Spychalski and whether it is really related to what he did and what he did in the Chancellery of the President – he added.

The prosecutor from the Silesian division of PZ PK presented to Błażej Spychalski and his wife Sandra S. Corruption accusations, allegations related to the use of untruthful documents and allegations of fraud in the investigation regarding irregularities in the activities of Collegium Humanum university – the Men's Menage School.

Błażej Spychalski has been a member of Law and Justice since 2004. In 2018, he was appointed the secretary of state in the Chancellery of the President and to the President's press spokesman. In September 2021 he finished work in these positions and at the same time on October 1 of the same year he became a social advisor to the president. He was also an adviser to the board of PKN Orlen, as well as the vice president of Gaz-System.

During the appointment of Spychalski as the vice president of Gaz-System in December 2022, information appeared that he graduated from Executive MBA studies at Collegium Humanum.

Collegium Humanum (currently the Varsovia business and applied sciences university) is a private university, to which officers of the Central Anti -Corruption Bureau entered in February last February. The center of interest included Fast courses that allowed the MAAST of Business Administration to be obtained. From 2017, after changes carried out during PiS rule, such a document opens a gate to the supervisory boards of state -owned companies. But politicians on the other side of the political scene also used this option.
