From July 2021, Lukas Podolski is a player of Górnik Zabrze. However, the world champion from Brazil did not limit himself to the role of a footballer. Podolski takes care of the club, he fights for money for its development. A few days ago, Goal.pl even announced that the 39-year-old would consider buying a club.
All this so that Górnik moves. Podolski would be a guarantee of interesting sponsorship agreements and publicity around the club. In the program “This is Sport.pl” Jakub Kosecki and Piotr Żelazny stated, however, that this is a great risk for a former German representative.
“If he has an idea for it, then please,” the iron began. – In Poland, buying a club means one thing: going to a collision with football. And this is the biggest problem – added journalist Viaplay and editor -in -chief of the magazine “Mine. Art of football”.
“Polish ball is a swamp”
– Unfortunately, in every Polish club there will be a few neck who want to rule, sell souvenirs, have the right to a logo, do catering, dispose of tickets, etc. In the end you always have to go at the start with these hard -headed guys who only recognize strength. That is why I would not enter the Polish club. This is a swamp. (…) For me, this is one of the reasons why we will not have a big ball in Poland. Because the elements are spinning at the clubs, bandits. And I don't know anyone who would win with bandits – said Żelazny.
– You need to respect anyone who wants to invest money in Polish football. This is a bottomless well. I wouldn't buy a Polish club. I would prefer the third league English – in turn this is the opinion of the former Polish representative and player of the Ekstraklasa clubs, i.e. Kosecki.
– There is no supporting culture in Poland. You can buy a club here and for half a year you can be considered as enemy number one. There is no gratitude here that you devote your money and time. There will always be someone dissatisfied, because the fans want to rule it – added the 34 -year -old.
