President Andrzej Duda, in his speech during the UN General Assembly debate, emphasized that peace and security in the world cannot be achieved without respect for law. Duda emphasized that the Russian war in Ukraine cannot be allowed to turn into another frozen conflict.
In his speech at the general debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the Polish President Andrzej Duda reminded us that the mission for which United Nations was established after World War II to prevent further conflicts and ensure peace in the world.
He warned that we are facing a serious threat to global security today. – For two and a half years we have been witnessing brutal aggression Russia on the neighboring one Ukraine. This is a flagrant violation of basic norms of international law, such as the prohibition of the use of force in international relations, he stressed.

Duda: The war in Ukraine cannot turn into a frozen conflict
– This unprovoked aggression is destabilizing the region and poses a direct threat to global order and security. We cannot allow this war to turn into another frozen conflict. This is the most important task for the future – he declared.
According to the president, stopping the Russian wars in Ukraine is important today not only to put an end to people's suffering and punish the aggressor, but also to ensure that – as he said – Russia's shameful actions do not become a model for others to follow.
Andrzej Duda stressed that the territorial integrity of Ukraine must be restored within its internationally recognized borders.
As Andrzej Duda emphasized, conquest and disregard for international law must be stopped. Otherwise, he continued, we will live in a world where any country can fall victim to aggression, regardless of its size and geographical location.
