According to the Friday report of the General Staff in Kiev, 1,380 Russian soldiers killed in the last 24 hours raised the total number of Russian losses in the war to over 292,000.

The Ukrainian military report shows that Russian forces also lost 55 tanks, 120 armored vehicles, 29 artillery launchers and four missile systems over the past 24 hours.

A Ukrainian portal specializing in military affairs wrote that the Russian army’s human losses over the last 24 hours have been the highest since the beginning of the armed invasion. The Russians lost 1,051 soldiers in the Taurid direction, i.e. on the section of the front in the Zaporizhia Oblast and the western part of the Donetsk Oblast. Intensive fighting took place in this area, with over 40 combat clashes taking place in the last 24 hours.

In its daily intelligence update, the British Ministry of Defense assessed that Russia’s loss of combat helicopters as a result of Ukraine’s use American ATACMS missiles to attack the Russian air base near occupied Berdyansk will significantly affect the capabilities of Russian forces on this section of the front.

“Although the extent of the damage has not yet been confirmed, it is likely that nine Russian helicopters were destroyed in Berdyansk and five in Luhansk. Ukraine claims to have used the US-supplied ATACMS long-range tactical missile for the first time,” the update said.

British analysts recalled that Russian defense was increasingly based on helicopters. The Berdyansk airport, they wrote, was used by the Russians as a forward base on the southern sector of the front, both in logistical, offensive and defensive terms.

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported in its latest analysis that Ukrainian troops are intensifying their operations in the east of the Kherson Oblast.

As analysts emphasize, Russian sources discuss “larger than usual” Ukrainian land operations on the eastern (left) bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Oblast.

Russians provide divergent information about Ukrainian actions, but according to ISW, these operations may be larger than the previously observed tactical raids.

There are 350,000-380,000 Russian soldiers in Ukraine in the occupied territories, said an adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky. As he stated, this does not mean that “they should all be destroyed.”

– When it comes to a significant tactical defeat, it means that in some direction there will be a breakthrough that will break the front line along a certain length. Then other processes will begin. Those mobilized will begin to desert and flee to their own territory, Podolak added.
