The Ukrainian Air Force has declared a state of threat in Kyiv against a ballistic missile attack heading towards the Poltava region. The Ukrainian capital is visited by the foreign ministers of the United States and Great Britain, Anthony Blinken and David Lemmy.
On Wednesday afternoon, an air raid alert was declared in Kiev. In the capital Ukraine the Secretary of State is staying USA Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
The Air Force posted a warning about a ballistic missile attack on the Telegram platform. It said the missile was heading towards the Poltava region. It was later announced that the missile had been shot down and there was no information about injuries or damage to infrastructure.
A wreath-laying ceremony that Blinken and Lammy were to attend was canceled. The alert was canceled after thirty minutes.
Important visit to Kiev
The US Secretary of State announced talks with Volodymyr Zelensky, among other things, about what Ukraine needs most, as well as its integration with NATO and the European Union.
Blinken said the visit would come at a key time for Ukraine, in the midst of an “intense autumn war season” of increasing bombing of Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure.

He announced that during talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he and Lammy will discuss what Ukraine needs most, as well as Ukraine's integration with NATO and the EU. He also admitted that he expects the topic to be a possible loosening of restrictions on the use of American and British long-range weapons against targets in Russia.
