– Like every Monday, I went for a run, and as I ran past, a dog jumped at me, seriously damaging my body and causing quite serious damage to my health. The man did not help, but ran away from the scene with the dog. I would be very grateful if there is any clue, and maybe someone can help me. The case has been reported to the police – wrote Mr. Łukasz on social media.
The injured man was given first aid by witnesses to the incident. He called the ambulance himself. He was taken to the hospital.
A 43-year-old man was arrested
– The man who was taking care of the dog after the incident left the scene, but the police established his identity and on Wednesday afternoon, he was detained. He turned out to be a 43-year-old resident of Bydgoszcz – informed Krzysztof Bratz, cadet from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.
Officers determined that the 43-year-old was not the dog's owner. He had it under his care because the owner, for health reasons, cannot take it for a walk.
– Unfortunately, due to the man's carelessness, a dangerous incident occurred. The perpetrator has already been charged, and his case will be brought to court – added the policeman.
