On Saturday evening, the body of a 42-year-old man was fished out of the Narew River in Sikory (Legionów County). The Warsaw Praga District Prosecutor's Office is responsible for determining the exact circumstances of the incident.

According to the spokesman of the Warsaw Praga District Prosecutor's Office, Norbert Woliński, on Saturday, June 15, around 9:30 p.m., the body of a 42-year-old man was fished out of the Narew River.

The man's identity was established. According to Norbert Woliński, he was recognized by a friend.

Junior Brigadier Tomasz Suracki, deputy commander of the Rescue and Firefighting Units in Legionowo, informed that the report was received at the District Headquarters of the Fire Department in Legionowo at 19.50.

The action ended after midnight

Two teams of the Legionowo Rescue and Firefighting Units, four teams of the Volunteer Fire Department with the National Rescue and Firefighting System, the Legionowo Volunteer Water Emergency Service, a medical rescue team and the police operated on site – said Tomasz Suracki.

He also informed that after the man was pulled out of the Narew River and the situation was assessed, medical rescue operations were discontinued. The action ended 34 minutes after midnight.
