At the request of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Prime Minister Donald Tusk dismissed Joanna Piekutowska from the position of Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection – informed the Ministry of Climate and Environment. A competition for this position is to be announced soon.
“At the request of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Prime Minister Donald Tusk dismissed Joanna Piekutowska from the position of Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection,” the statement read.
“The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection needs a manager ready for changes that will adapt this institution to current and upcoming challenges,” said Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment, quoted in the information.
It was added that a competition for this position would be announced soon.
The ministry announced that Piekutowska had become the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection in mid-April.
The Environmental Protection Inspection was established to control compliance with environmental protection regulations and to examine and assess the state of the environment. The Inspection includes: the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (GIEP) and 16 voivodeship environmental protection inspectorates. The activities of the Inspection are managed by the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection
