He explained his behavior as “a moment of thought”. The police took his driving license away, and he will answer for the offense in court.
A dangerous situation occurred on Friday evening on the Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa in Chorzów. The police were informed about a bus that had stopped across and blocked the road. As it turned out, its driver had entered the route against traffic.

– A 67-year-old resident of Ruda Śląska, who, despite the road infrastructure, ignored basic traffic regulations and road signs, drove a public transport bus onto the Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa. When he realized that he had made a mistake, he decided to turn around. Unfortunately, due to the dimensions of the bus, this turned out to be very difficult. He managed to do it only with the assistance of uniformed officers. Fortunately, the bus was pulling into the bus depot, so the driver did not endanger the passengers with his behavior – informs Senior Asp. Lucjan Pokorski from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Chorzów.

The policeman added that the driver tried to explain his behavior to the policemen as a “moment of thought”. – The breathalyzer test did not show any alcohol. As a result of this irresponsible behavior, traffic was stopped for about 30 minutes – says Pokorski. The policemen confiscated the driver's license, he will be held up in court for the offense. He faces a fine of up to PLN 30,000.
