A dangerous situation occurred in the center of Ciechanów. According to police findings, a man knocked down an 11-year-old boy riding a bike, and then tried to pull the child into a car. Witnesses reacted. The perpetrator is wanted by the police.
As reported by the spokeswoman of the District Police Headquarters in Ciechanów, Asp. Magda Sakowska, on Monday before 9 a.m. a report was received that on Płocka Street in the city centre an unknown man had knocked down an 11-year-old boy riding a bicycle and then tried to pull him into a car parked nearby.
– Seeing what was happening, passers-by, witnesses to the incident, reacted. The man stopped what he was doing, got into the car and drove away – said asp. Sakowska. She added that the boy was not hurt. – He was handed over to his mother's care – she noted.
The search is ongoing
The spokeswoman for the Ciechanów police stressed that the man is currently wanted. Citing the good of the ongoing activities, she refused to provide details of the circumstances of the incident, including the make of the car in which the man drove away.
In connection with the event, proceedings were initiated under Article 191 of the Penal Code, which states, among other things, that anyone who, by using violence against a person or making an unlawful threat, forces them to act in a specific way shall be subject to a penalty of imprisonment for up to 3 years.
