The choice of Donald Trump as the host of the White House was commented on by Paweł Kowal from the Civic Coalition, head of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. He was asked whether he thought this was good news for Poland. – If we look at Donald Trump's views, I think that the coalition that has been ruling Poland for a year has solid legitimacy to conduct a serious political discussion with every government in America, because we spend on defense, because we stimulate the EU (European – ed.) for her to defend herself, he replied.
When asked whether Trump could not be described as a “dream president” for Poles, Kowal replied: – You can dream about nice holidays, beautiful ladies, and wonderful friends. This is politics, this is not your aunt's tea party.

MP Kowal was also asked about what actions Trump might take in the context of Russian aggression war in Ukraine. – You cannot take what someone said at a rally before the elections one by one and say today that he will definitely do it one hundred percent – said Kowal, referring to Trump's assurances that he will end the war before he officially takes office in January next year.

Paweł Kowal also talked about whether, in his opinion, in terms of international security policy, Trump will focus his attention not on Europe, but on other parts of the world, mainly Asia.
He stated that “it is impossible to talk seriously about security in today's world, focusing only on China, or only on Japan, or only on Israel, or only on Korea, or only on Taiwan.” – There is one safety and recent years have taught us this.
