Presidential elections 2025

Last Saturday, the National Management Board of the Civic Platform decided that primary elections would be held in which members of the Civic Coalition (PO, Nowoczesna, Inicjatywa Polska and The Greens) would choose the KO candidate for president. The candidates in the primary elections are: the mayor of Warsaw, the deputy head of PO Rafał Trzaskowski and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski. The vote, in which all members of these four parties will take part, will probably take place on November 23. The winner of the primaries will present his program in Silesia on December 7.

At the beginning of October, the Left announced that the National Council of the New Left had unanimously decided to field its own candidate in next year's presidential elections. It has not been decided yet who will be selected.

President PIS Jarosław Kaczyński announced over the weekend that the decision on who will be the candidate of the “patriotic camp” for president will be announced within a dozen or so days.

Sławomir Mentzen has already announced his participation in the elections (Confederation) and Marek Jakubiak (Freedom parliamentary group Republicans).

The presidential elections will be held in spring next year, most likely in May. Andrzej Duda ends his term in August 2025.
