Elon Musk may join the new American government. Who else can count on the position?

Donald Trump's return to the White House means that Melania Trump will be the first lady again. As usual, in the shadow of her husband, she accompanied him when he announced his electoral victory. American media are already speculating whether the first lady will live in the White House. This is not so certain. What is noteworthy is the appearance of his daughter – Ivanka – and her husband Jared Kushner next to the future president. They were very influential during Donald Trump's first term, but in recent years they have demonstratively suspended their political activities. They distanced themselves after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Ivanka was involved in, among other things, charity work for fighting Ukraine. During the campaign, she appeared next to her father only once.

Youth in the entourage of the 47th President of the United States is to be represented by JD Vance. The 40-year-old will become one of the youngest vice presidents in American history. He has a great chance of running for president in four years.

During Donald Trump's victory speech, his entourage included, among others, Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News journalist who “became famous” for interviewing Vladimir Putin.

Elon Musk may become the eminence grise after the change of power in Washington. He was born in South Africa and is the richest man in the world. He is the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and website X (formerly Twitter). He supported the Republican candidate with his popularity, loyalty and money. In the new administration, Trump would see him as an advisor on “cost cutting issues”, but unofficial voices even refer to the billionaire as the architect of the new American foreign policy.

Reuters published a list of candidates for the most important positions in the new government. From the Polish point of view, the most important person is the secretary of state, i.e. the head of diplomacy. The favorites are: Robert O'Brien, Bill Hagerty and Marco Rubio.

Robert Kennedy Junior can count on a place in the new government – an independent presidential candidate withdrew during the campaign and supported Trump. Kennedy is a conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer. In the Trump administration, he is to be responsible for health.

The most controversial candidates could potentially be blocked by the Senate, but Republicans have a majority there.
