1. The French voted

The National Union won in the first round elections parliamentary in France 34 percent of the votes – according to survey exit poll. The Left Popular Front came second with 29 percent. The podium is closed by President Emmanuel Macron's camp. Together for the Republic won between 20.5 and 23 percent of the votes.

The Ipsos center predicts that the National Rally will gain 230-280 seats in parliament, the Popular Front between 125 and 165, and Together for the Republic between 41 and 61.

2. Tragic accident in Małopolska. The mother is dead, the daughter is fighting for her life

Tragic accident in Bilczyce in Lesser Poland. A passenger car hit a cyclist carrying her five-year-old daughter. The 40-year-old woman died on the spot, the girl was taken to hospital in a serious condition. Two people traveling in the car were detained.

The accident occurred on Sunday shortly after 5 p.m. The services received a report of a road accident involving a passenger car and a bicycle.

3. Volleyball players with the bronze medal in the Nations League

Great performance by the Poles at the end of their appearance in the final tournament of the Volleyball Nations League. The Polish national team gave no chance to the Slovenians in Sunday's match for bronze. In 90 minutes they won 3:0 (26:24, 25:16, 25:17). Although our team did not defend the title from last year, third place is still a very good result.

4. Spain and England advance to the quarterfinals of Euro 2024

5. Sunday and Monday are marked by storms

Thunderstorms rolled through Poland on Sunday, turning violent in some places. Strong winds in Uniechów, Pomerania, tore off several roofs and destroyed a barn on one of the properties. Trees were broken in Piła, Greater Poland. In Kłodzko County, lightning struck a single-family house, injuring three people. The storms were accompanied by very large hail.

By 9 p.m., firefighters had received 1,847 reports related to removing the effects of strong winds and flooding of buildings and streets, said on Sunday the spokesman for the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Karol Kierzkowski. The largest number of incidents occurred in the following provinces: Wielkopolskie – 588 (Kołski County – 222, Piła County – 96), Pomorskie – 259, Śląskie – 186, Łódzkie – 171, Opolskie – 153, Dolnośląskie – 147 and Kujawsko-Pomorskie – 103.

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns that in some parts of the country storms may also occur on Monday morning.
