The General Office of Construction Supervision made a preliminary assessment of buildings after the flood. The condition of 13 thousand was checked. 823 construction facilities, over 11 thousand of them are destroyed or damaged, the office reported on Thursday.
As reported, construction supervision supports the work of municipal commissions for loss assessment – by October 15, 138 supervision employees were appointed to support the work of these commissions. “The initial assessment of the condition of facilities after the flood as part of the nationwide campaign has been completed and is now being carried out by local units as needed,” it was emphasized.

So far, building supervision inspectors have assessed the total 13,823 construction facilities. Of them, as many as 11 thousand 484 have been assessed as destroyed or damaged, a 854 as objects that threaten or may threaten safety.

The largest number of buildings assessed so far in the Opole Voivodeship – 7,882 (99.8% of reported facilities in the voivodeship). In the Lower Silesian Voivodeship it was assessed 4,937 facilities (all reported), in the province Silesia, they were assessed 783 (all reported), and in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, where activities are still ongoing, it was assessed 221 buildings.

“The situation in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is stable,” emphasized GUNB.

Single-family residential buildings were rated the most – 7 thousand 392. Next there are farm and livestock buildings and industrial and warehouse buildings (2,291), multi-family residential buildings (1 807), public buildings (488) and others – 665. Furthermore, it was rated 596 bridges and viaducts311 “other road engineering facilities”, 149 hydrotechnical facilities and 124 “other facilities”. Additionally, over 460 km of linear objects were checked, i.e. roads and land infrastructure networks (e.g. water and gas networks).
