In a coalition, you need to talk tough, but not in TV studios or social media – said Tomasz Trela from the Left. He referred in this way to the critical words of Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk from the Left addressed to Minister Krzysztof Paszyk from the PSL. The politician also emphasized that although the Civic Coalition is “big” in the government, “big can do nothing without smaller”.

Trela: it's mutual animosity
Tomasz Trela from the Left was a guest on TVN24's “Rozmowy Piaseckiego” on Monday. He was asked if such remarks are the “new standard” of the ruling coalition. – No, it is not a new standard, but these are some mutual animosities or mutual misunderstandings – he replied.
– I try to use coalition language on the principle that if I have something to say to someone, I pick up the phone, call them, meet up and explain everything. I try not to engage in Twitter politics, at least not personal, unambiguous ones – said Trela.
In his opinion, “in the coalition you have to talk to each other firmly, but not in TV studios and not on Twitter, but individually at government meetings, in parliamentary teams, internal meetings and so on.”
Trela: The big one can do more, that's true. But without the smaller one, it can't do anything.
Trela assessed that in the ruling coalition “there is more unity than mutual understanding, respect and friendship”. – I have always assumed that if we have common goals, we implement them, and if we have differences, we look for an agreement and everyone takes a step back so that everyone can take one step forward together – said the MP.
In the ruling coalition, he added, “there's a bit of that missing.” – Because if two coalition parties say that a zero percent loan is a bad idea, then I don't know why two other coalition parties say that it's the best idea in the world. No, we have to look for another solution, he emphasized.
– Each political party went with its own election program. But to fully implement your election program, you have to win the elections. If you didn't win the elections on your own, you have to have negotiation skills to convince others to your program – Trela noted.
In response to the fact that the Civic Coalition is the “hegemon” in the coalition, and that “a big party can do more”, he replied: – That is true, but a big party can do nothing without a smaller party, because 231 votes are still needed in parliament to vote on bills.
