Fuel prices in the middle of the holidays. Reflex: the risk of increases is minimal

At the turn of July and August, the downward trend in fuel prices will continue – Reflex analysts predict. They reported that the average reductions will amount to 3 to 5 groszy per liter of both petrol and diesel. Autogas prices should remain unchanged.

According to Reflex analysts, the price situation remains stable at the halfway point of the holidays. The turn of July and August does not herald major changes, although minor ones are possible. drops in diesel and petrol prices, ranging from 3 to 5 groszy.

Experts pointed out that the average fuel prices at the stations on July 25, respectively, for unleaded petrol 95 – PLN 6.42/l, unleaded petrol 98 – PLN 7.19/l, diesel – PLN 6.44/l and autogas – PLN 2.68/l. “This means that on average the prices of petrol and diesel dropped by 1-2 groszy per litre, and the average prices of LPG remained unchanged,” it added.

Analysts also noted that Pb95 and ON petrol prices are lower on average by 5 gr/l than in Juneand autogas by 2 gr/l. “At the same time, the current prices of Pb95 petrol are lower by 17 gr/l compared to the prices from the end of July last year, and autogas by 13 gr/l. In turn, we pay more than a year ago for Pb98 petrol and diesel, by 2 and 8 gr/l, respectively,” it was noted.

Wholesale fuel prices down

According to Refleks data, the level of wholesale fuel prices (net) on July 26 at Orlen was as follows: Eurosuper 95 – PLN 4,936/1000 l (a drop by PLN 43/1000 l compared to prices from July 19, 2024), Superplus 98 – PLN 5,480/1000 l (a drop by PLN 36/1000 l), diesel oil – PLN 4,963/1000 l (a drop by PLN 19/1000 l), heating diesel oil – PLN 4,030 1000 l (a drop by PLN 19/1000 l).

Meanwhile, the level of wholesale fuel prices (net) on July 26 at Aramco was as follows: Eurosuper 95 – PLN 4,933/1000 l (a drop of PLN 43/1000 l compared to prices on July 19, 2024), Superplus 98 – PLN 5,478/1000 l (a drop of PLN 37/1000 l), diesel oil – PLN 4,962/1000 l (a drop of PLN 19/1000 l), diesel oil for heating purposes – PLN 4,029/1000 l (a drop of PLN 19/1000 l).

Analysts indicated that the price declines of the September series of Brent crude contracts have stopped in the area of ​​$ 79 per barrel and the market has returned to the area of ​​$ 82 per barrel. Brent crude is about $ 0.50 per barrel cheaper than a week ago.

“OPEC reported that Russia, Kazakhstan and Iraq have jointly agreed to systematically reduce oil production by September 2025 by a total of 2.284 million barrels per day,” the analysts recalled. They also noted that in the first six months of this year, these countries produced a combined 2.284 million barrels per day above the limits set by the OPEC+ agreement, while, they added, production Russia was 0.48 million barrels per day above the limit, Iraq 1.18 million barrels per day, and Kazakhstan 0.62 million barrels per day.

“In the first three weeks of June, diesel loading in the US destined for Europe increased by 56% to over 0.5 million barrels per day, making the US the largest supplier of diesel to Europe with a share of up to 40%,” analysts noted.
